PERSONAL CODE OF ETHICS
My personal code of ethics is culminated from a combination of lessons I have learned during my childhood, specific experiences I have had that shaped my way of seeing the world, qualities I value most in a people and lessons from my faith. I actively work to implement these principles not only in my education and profession, but also in my personal life, to guide any ethical challenges I come across. As a future public relations practitioner and as a good citizen, I have a special obligation to act, communicate and operate ethically on all fronts.

-
Treat others the way I would like to be treated. This includes, but is not limited to, my peers, superiors, teammates and friends.
-
Always strive to make choices that will result in the greatest good for the greatest number of people.
-
Safeguard all private and confidential information that anyone chooses to entrust me with, unless withholding this information will result in harm or substantial negative consequences.
-
Take full responsibility for my actions and hold myself to the highest standard of accountability for any of my mistakes.
-
All human beings deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
I intend to make conscious decisions correlating to diversity, equity and inclusion by remaining diligent and committed to learning the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and in my personal life. I will make myself aware of the best resources available to me and practices for diversity, equity and inclusion. I will also actively welcome and respect the opinions and the free expression of people from all backgrounds, mindsets and walks of life.
My personal code of ethics and my statement regarding diversity, equity and inclusion will work together to help me make ethical and inclusive decisions both in the workplace and personally. Should I come across a problem or dilemma, I can look to these guiding principles.
These codes, which are based around treating all human beings with equal respect, combined with my goal of actively learning about and acting upon diversity, will set me up for success in my future endeavors.
